![]() Doesnt matter whether or not you personally think your tip was good enough - the drivers disagree with you. If you cannot get delivery from GH it is because you didnt tip enough. That therefore disproves your claim that there just aren't any GH drivers and there was nothing wrong with your tip. Proof of that fact is that you could get your food immediately if you tipped $100 on GH. ![]() Its a matter of economic physics that you can’t lie your way out of by pretending you tip great when you actually dont. So the only reason you would find success with DD over the others is because you tip shit. You don’t get your food on those apps because you don’t tip enough.ĭD is more likely to get you your food with a bad tip because of the way it is structured to manipulate drivers into gambling. Whether or not GH/UE has restaurants you like is not relevant to the reasons why you arent getting you food delivered quickly. You are committing the fallacy of red herring. You really need to check your anger somewhere Nowhere did I say your experience was wrong. ![]() You can’t judge something based on one comment and an experience that isn’t yours. Each service I each area is different, the people are different, the dynamic is different, tips and speed are different. I’ve delivered in 4 separate stars and several cities in each state. If you don’t like my personal opinion on the service where I live (not where you live) then move on. You sound rather angry and I would suggest counseling. ![]() Your comprehensive levels are low and judgemental levels are high. I did not say this was typical of all areas. They are also usually nicer and follow instructions better. I have never had too many issues with DD. In my area GH and UE have less of a selection than DD and take longer. You do realize different cities and areas are going to have different services. I tip in app and cash tip 10-15 per order. I’m pretty sure you don’t know what I tip. Assuming the bags weren't already sealed. Maybe we got paid more we could do more due diligence. You don’t tip enough for that and DD pays shit. Plus, even if they weren’t sealed, ain’t nobody got time to examine each order and interrogate the staff about it. And if that isn’t good enough for you then go there yourself. Or don’t order from restaurants that can’t get your order right. And if they didn’t then that’s on them and not the driver. No, at some point all you can do is just trust that the restaurant staff fulfilled the order correctly. Maybe tear open that burrito to make sure you got the exact one you ordered? No, they aren’t, because the bags are sealed.Īnd do you really want them opening up your food containers and rooting around to make sure you got the exact right order? Maybe pick up the bun off your burger and dig around to make sure they left the pickles and mayo off like you asked? The whole system is predatory and needs to be fixed, so I think you are doing the right thing, albeit you may not understand the whole situation Doordash's new system makes it so they have little to no choice, and doordash takes advantage of this by stacking bad orders (no tip, long distance, etc) on top of other orders, thus forcing the dasher to have to run to multiple customers' drop off points delivering food. As such, they should be allowed to choose what contracts (orders) they want to take. Now the really messed up part of all this, is dashers are NOT doordash employees. A dasher will decline orders for various reasons but more often than not its because the specific run will cause them to be net negative based on mileage, gas prices, crappy tips or even no tip at all, etc. Now doordash will force your run to stop (which you can't start again for a period of time that varies from my understanding) if you decline too many orders in a row. I would like to point out that things have gotten rougher on the dasher's side of things. This company has no grip on quality control. ![]() I saw it as a win/win, but now its a parasitic relationship where I pay high prices tip well and receive terrible service and practically inedible food. I used to feel good about ordering doordash because I felt like I was giving someone a chance to earn some money and I can get some food. I even started tipping $5 minimum on everything starting July after I read a post on here to see if that would help the quality of my deliveries but it has honestly gotten worse not better. Delivery times are long and dashers always have an order to drop before mine combine that with no hot/cold bag and my food is cold every time. Never seen any of my dashers use a hot/cold bag. There are too many drivers who just don’t care and it overshadows the ones that actually do. Been a doordash dashpass member for a minute now but too many deliveries are cold, not handled well, missing items, etc. ![]()
